About Riga Food Producers Vocational School State Ltd
Riga Food Producers Vocational School State Ltd a vocational institution supervised by of the Ministry of Education and Science. Riga Food Producers Vocational School provides accredited programmes to prepare specialists for catering, hospitality and food production industries. The aim of the school is to create positive environment for education, to organize and to implement education that ensures reaching the aims of professional education stated in standards for secondary vocational education.
After implementation of school optimization program, 2011/2012 study year Riga Food Producers Vocational School started as institution combining three schools - Riga Food Producers Vocational School, Riga Purvciema Crafts School and Riga Tourism and Trade School– largest vocational education institution in food production, hospitality, catering and tourism fields. Besides food production, catering service and hospitality service specialists, school prepares specialists in tourism, trade, interior design and fashion design fields.
As of 2011/2012 study year there are 2400 students and 255 pedagogues and administrative staff in the school.
Besides secondary vocational education, school ensures further education and qualification raising programmes.
Riga Food Producers Vocational School has well-developed traditions of international relationship, is being a member of AEHT and C.H.A.S.E, and has solid record of implemented European projects.
